As the principal for the last 18 years, I would like to welcome you to the St. Odilia school community and invite you to be part of a great tradition.

We are a parish school that proudly serves our community by offering a quality Catholic education. Currently, we educate 615 students in grades K-8. Emphasis is placed on love of God, personal dignity, a sense of Christian service to the larger community, and high academic achievement. In addition to the core curriculum, we offer a modern library/media center, a music and band program, an art and Art Adventure program, and a 32-workstation computer lab.

Once or twice a month, I offer informational meetings that anyone is welcome to attend. You will receive information on the school, take a school tour, and have an opportunity to observe classes.

We continually work to improve the quality of our education through an on going accreditation process. New developments include a review of our reading curriculum, establishment of an all-day kindergarten program, two mobile wireless computer labs for grades 4 and 5 as well as two mobile labs in the middle school, and 12 SmartBoards for instructional purpose.

I am especially proud of our caring teachers and support staff. Our teachers are certified by the state. An impressive 60 percent currently have their master's degree and 15 percent are working toward obtaining their master's degree.

I am often asked what makes St. O's so special. I respond, "It is the involvement of our parents." Parents are involved in every facet of school life, such as school board and committees, classrooms, library, accreditation process, and curriculum programs.

On behalf of Assistant Principal Dave Fink and myself, thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Feel free to contact me at grose@stodilia.org or 651.484.3364 with questions.

Sincerely,

Bob Grose, St. Odilia School Principal
