Dear St. Odilia School Parents,

I want to thank all of the parents, teachers, School council members and Uniform Task Force for the recommendations and suggestions related to the school uniform code and infraction policy. All suggestions were considered before making the final decision.

I have decided to support and implement the modified proposal that was presented by the Uniform Task Force. Enclosed is the final uniform code and infraction policy that will go into effect September 2005. It is important to note that the final decision regarding the uniform code is an administrative one, not a Uniform Task Force or School Council decision.

Please note that pants and shorts are now available at Dennis Uniform if you need to start your transition this spring. Before the end of the school year, more information will be distributed regarding the date of availability of our school specific items. Dennis will be having a sale here at St. Odilia in August, date to be announced. We hope to have sample uniforms available for viewing within the week.

The new uniform code addresses the intended goal of providing a clear and consistent code that will be easier for parents, teachers and administration to enforce as well as provide students with appropriate attire for all school related activities. Financial aid is available in the form of a "uniform scholarship" for families in need.
